Tiger hows the tv picture looking, besides videogames. Is it just ESPN your having a problem with??? FYI I tried the 300x and 400x monster cables on my old tv which supports component and svideo and the picture looked alot worse than with regular wires. For some reason monster cables dont work well with xbox, i suggest getting the HD kit

8bit, the TV/DVD and HD signals all look great, just the xbox with component cables going in.
You really think the Microsoft HD pack is better than the monster component cable?

i see the problem in all games, but its especially bad in espn bball and football..Moto GP looked quite good, but still, something seems wrong.

by the way, i disabled all options but widescreen and 480p in the dash of the xbox

its so jaggies are so bad that i cant really read the name of the jaggies on the back of the jersies in espn football. It looks ok during the cutscenes though as there are less jaggies

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

Yes man totally!!!! I remmebr that when I had the monster cables in everything was very jaggy. I played ssx tricky and the snow jagginess and pop ups increased 10 fold, same with halo. Its not your tv man its the cables. Get the 20 dollar HD pack.

      Re: HELP

I was thinking about buying a 61 inch RCA DLP, but when I was at best buy, I saw a Toshiba 45 inch widescreen and the quality of a non HD program was horrible. I was watching NBA TV and they had the Minnesota/Denver replay and they stretched out the picture so it could fit, but it's horrible quality compared to a regular tv. Is there anyway you can cut the sides so it's a 4:3 on your tv?? It made me question where getting one is worth it because most channels aren't HD yet and for sports, there are only a few games a week. If it's going to be that quality on non-HD games then why do people get it?? I hope someone says it's just like regular tv because it can't stand stretched out ugly looking picture.

Also, where's the best place to buy a tv?? I am going to buy a 61 inch RCA DLP, but the best price I've seen is 3599. Is there anyone who has one of these?

Is there a big difference from the monster cables that they sale??

      Thanks for the reply

Don't get the RCA, wait for the new Samsung DLPs with the HD2+ chip.

I heard Samsung's aren't as good anyway. What's the HD2 chip mean?? I haven't bought one yet, but we built our house around one that we're going to move in in about a month. How much will it cost?? Thanks

Bascially its a better chip and it will be used with a new 7 segment color wheel. Here's a summary of the Samsungs coming out and the RCAs out now.
