    Is it just me or...

Does all rap now sound the same???

Maybe its just late and im buggin out but im sitting here listening to my albums/radio and every artist is saying the exact same thing... even some of the lines i can finish before they get finshed with them...All these houston guys talking about candy painted impalas... and teeth. East coast guys about selling cocaine...i mean damn.. its getting frustrating...theres hardly any quality stuff anymore.. what happend to the Nas's and the BIG's Tupac..Jayz.. who the hell is Bun B???..ARGHHH

Most if not all the stuff that comes on the radio is the exact same stuff.. just different deliveries.. I think i may need to step away from hip hop for a minute and let my love come back but im just not feeling anything that i hear lately.. (except for the Clipse i can always listen to them)

has anyone had similar thought or am i just trippin

Just a side note you may have noticed i mentioned NAS,BIG,Jay and said i listen to the Clipse..youre probably thinking WTF?? well i may be in the minority but i really think these guys do what they say they do.. and well its intresting to hear them rap about it.. besides Pusha and Malice have crazy delivery.. Sandman is growing on me to...

Apparently underground doesn't sound the same as mainstream, which is almost true for every genre omg ever, but you're going to have to get a better opinion from a real hip-hop/rap follower.

Actually, this album is the best lyrically you'll ever hear from Juelz. You can't judge the entire album by "There It Go" -- hell, this album is closer to the mixtapes than From Me 2 U was.

Its not just you. All mainstream rap music is going to sound the same. The lyrically on point artists fly under the radar because they arent talking about women, jewelry, cars, and money.

All mainstream rap sounds the same. And people like the nice punch lines in these mainstream rap songs. And the catchy hooks. That's what sells.

But some of the artists release singles that are mainstream-like, but their album is totally different. My man Chamillionaire's album is sick. Download "Void In My Life", "In The Trunk", "Ridin' Dirty", and "Think I'm Crazy". All three tracks are different, and all are great imo

Eh, I don't know why he changed his name to Chamillionaire though. That's what drives people away from his album.

to be honest i like everything . from backpack rap(murs, atmosphere, zion i ) , conscious lyrics(mos def ,krs-one , ice cube) to straight flossing ish(jay-z) . i dont care what these artist talk about , just show some damn skill and creativity while ur doing that .

stop coming with wack wordplay , weak lyrics, and bad punch lines. sorry but "i love u like a fat kid loves cake" isnt cutting it. u want to talk about money , go ahead just make it creative.

its not just u, alot of rap nowadays especially on the radio sounds the same
And with the third pick - I made the earth sick
M.J., hem Jay, fade away perfect

alot of ppl dont care about punch lines , ive talked to plenty of ppl and they dont care about lyrics . ive had a couple of ppl tell me that the rapper could be telling them off throughout the whole song and as long as it sounds tight theyll listen to it . most ppl care about club beats and catchy hooks.

anyways . that chamillionaire album is pretty nice . those songs you listed are hot , as is "picture perfect"
