Butch Walker does this amazing cover of "Last Christmas," he's also got an original called "Merry Christmas" that is awesome.
Angie Aparo also has the best version of "Silent Night" I have ever heard.
Rob Thomas also has a nice original called "A New York Christmas" that he wrote some time ago.
I honestly hate traditional Christmas music, give me something contemporary any day.

i hate all christmas music. when i hear it i want to punch kittens! 23 years of the same crap or 23 years of horrible renditions of hte same crap or 23 years of subpar contemparary artists attempting christmas music crap is just too much for me. plus i work at universal studios. i hear the sh*# all the time. "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer" is always fun to listen to. I also like "Run, Run Rudolph" by Chuck Berry, the one popular Mariah Carey Christmas song, "All I Want for Christmas Is You", and I like the one Hawaiian (?) Christmas Eve song featured in "Christmas Vacation". The Trans Siberian Orchestra is awesome as well.
