Muff your whole "classic isn't always good" stance is so comical in some ways. Just wait in 20-25 years you'll be saying so and so was so much better then the fad of the day that will be all the rage.

In terms of complications of our own future? Possibly so. But... I'm always with what's "new". Always have been... always will be. Sure, I may just be "saying that", but so far it's been like that for 17 years of my life, and I don't see any signs of that slowing up.
I mean sure, I haven't lived the years, so I don't quite know if I'm right or not. Only time will tell.
While we're on the subject, the only thing that I can think of that may progress or degress (in terms of the "fun" factor) depending on the time period is age.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: NES IS BACK.........
Trying to get back on topic...
Would it be possible to make an A/V NES controller which game with about 10-20 NES games like the arcade/atari A/V controllers?

Re: NES IS BACK.........
Good idea overall....and I'd get one in a second...if it had a hard drive with all the games loaded on it. While the nostaglia is there, I'd rather not deal with the carts no matter how perfectly they work (I have two original working NES systems that work great after I replaced the component that the games plug into). When I first started reading this I thought they would be on the machine like those little $20 joysticks with a few old arcade games on them.
It probably will sell ok...I like playing old NES games sometimes...it's fun playing the games you grew up playing...plus many of them are easier when you're older!
Finally, to whoever asked why someone would spend $60 on this when they can get a used NES for $.50...good luck finding that. When I bought my NES's on Ebay they were going for $30-$40 or more if they had a fair amount of games with them. Then I bought the new connectors for $15 so it ended up running me $50+ for each system.Comment

Re: NES IS BACK.........
I'd definitely pay 60 bucks for a brand new NES. Like everyone else has said, it'd be daggum near impossible to find an old NES that would play ALL games flawlessly. I remember having to insert another game on top of the game you were trying to play in order to get it to work.
Plus, games were less complicated back then. You could fire up Tecmo Bowl and play and not give it a second thought. No sliders to adjust, no difficulty levels....just good times. Ahh,those were the days.F-L-O-R-I-D-A! S-T-A-T-E! Florida State! Florida State! Florida State! Wooooo!Comment

$50-60 is about how much a perfectly working NES should cost. I got one off ebay that has the usual NES problems for $40.
Nostalgia alone would make this system worth purchasing. It's amazing that some of the old NES games still go for $10-15 on ebay and at places like Gamecrazy, EB games, etc.Comment

Re: NES IS BACK.........
I think it'd be so awesome if someway Xbox 360 could get a hold of some of the old games and put them in the Arcade and just u pay some points for them or such, Wouldnt happen but that'd be nice and if they played iN HD would be great, I still have a nintendo and it works pretty good with bout 25 gamesLet's Get Ready To Rumble!Comment

Re: NES IS BACK.........
I agree with BGarret on this. 59 bucks for games that could be played on your cell phone? I dont think so. There is a group who would glady pick this up but I dont think it would do well enough without including any games.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment
