Terminator 3 left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, only because it makes you want it to keep going especially after the entire world is nuked by each other. I wish they would make a terminator 4 and wrap up everything.

they didn't really tack on the third movie, they shot both of them at the same time if i remember correctly ala the second and third pirates of the caribean movies.

Re: Good movies with really bad endings.

I've got a list in my head but the most dissapointing off the top of my head is Alien vs Predator I really liked the film for what it was but to end it the way it did really, really pissed me off...guess my vision of it was just too high because the director just ruiend it and the ending really sucked IMO!!!

I've got some others that come to mind also including the Ring 2 and Sin City but what they did to Alien vs Predator just wasn't right.

On another note Training Day offered an alternative ending that I could stomach and I really liked the cast.

I know it wasn't "tacked on" but the ending of part 2 was a far better way to end the trilogy. Altho I hate BTTF 3 I have to admit that was a great ending.

That's funny because I thought the ending of AVP was the only decent part of the film. I'm a pretty lenient movie critic, but I thought that movie mauled two good sagas. They should have made that movie back in 1992 with Arnold and Sigourney, it would have made 350 million.

I HATED the ending to Million Dollar Baby. Bill Simmons worte about it and said " It's like they intentionally wanted to depress every single person who sees this film." I have never loved the first 3/4 of a movie and hated the last 1/4 of a movie more than that movie

Charlottes Web. Has to be one of the most depressing movies to watch as a kid.

I thought the 1st half of Million Dollar Baby was good but as soon as she is fighting for the title against a boxer who was straight out of the WWE doing things that would have gotten her suspended for life in real life and the cheezy way she had the accident to get to the final act was cartoonish and better suited for a Van Damme movie. After seeing this I was flabbergasted on how it could win any Oscars.

Although I really loved American Psycho, the last 15 minutes just seemed out of place and Bale seemed to turn into a totally different character and didn't tie up any loose ends. I never read the book so I don't know how true the ending was to that. It just seemed like they were rushing to end it.

Its funny when I think of Signs I think of whole alien invasion angle as the background story, an ancillary component to the primary story of fate or destiny and the loss and renewal of faith. The movie is really about Mel Gibson's character.

Edit: bgeno beat me to it, but I concur.

That pissed me off too. In the movie, they say she didnt win the fight but in real life if someone cheap shots like that they would have been disqualified, suspended and Hilary Swank would have been announced the winner. Even with that I'm not surprised it won Oscars, it was a well acted movie.

Okay, I'll argue that it was a classic ending. Yeah, I totally hated it, but still, how could they end it any other way? It was a total spoof of hero/knight movies and books, so of course they couldn't win in the end. Plus I mean, like you said, it's Monty Python.

Not to mention that according to the movie she was doing those cheap shots in all her previous fights which made her a cross between Clubber Lang and the big Chinese guy in Bloodsport. I'm suprised she didn't pull out a foreign object or hit Swank with a chair while the ref wasn't looking a la Stone Cold Steve Austin. While Swank deserved her Oscar there's no way this movie should of won best picture simply for that ridiculous sequence which was a pivotal point in the movie.
