Thanks for the insight on Adams. I know I made a thread asking about him, but I don't remember anything about it. I feel like I'm asking the same question I did in the earlier thread, but I just can't remember the answer. If you were to suggest two or three Ryan Adams' to start on, which ones would they be? As I said in this thread, I'm loving Cold Roses, and from what I've heard on his Rock N Roll album, I have enjoyed as well.

Re: Your Top Ten Albums of 2005
Hmm ... BGarrett's advice two pages earlier was very solid, in my opinion. Here are my favorite Adams/Whiskeytown records, in order:
1. Adams -- "Cold Roses"
2. Whiskeytown -- "Pneumonia"
3. Adams -- "Gold"
4. Adams -- "Jacksonville City Nights"
5. Adams -- "Heartbreaker"
Your mileage may vary!
Take care,

1) Whiskeytown, Stangers Alamanc
2) Ryan Adams, Demolition
3) Ryan Adams, Heartbreaker
And you would also be very well off if you could hunt down two sets of demos to download, Suicide Handbook and 48 Hours.
EDIT: Btw, here is your original thread on Ryan. I pretty much told you the same thing there as I have in this thread.Last edited by BGarrett7; 12-23-2005, 01:08 PM.Comment

Re: Your Top Ten Albums of 2005
I made this a topic similar to this at the start of December, see it <A HREF="http://forums.operationsports.com/vBulletin/showthread.php?t=152094">here.</A>
With that said, I realize I forgot some with my last post and since this is top ten, here are mine only including albums released in 2005...
Off the top of my head in '06, the albums I am looking forward to most are the debut from Arctic Monkeys, and new albums from The Walkmen and The Killers.Comment

Yeah..........Justus League/Rhymesayers absolutely ran 2005.
BCC also had a very nice ressurection, IMO.
To all my NC heads on here, since they "New State of Hip-Hop" thread was lost in the EE removal I figured I'd post this here......
You guys really need to check out Brown James. I'd gotten his album (Plain Brown Rapper) a couple of months ago but had no clue he was from NC (Fayetteville to be exact). His sound/style is more NYC. He's got a much different style than LB and Justus League but his album easily the sleeper of '05, IMO. I think it just hit the retail shelves a month ago, but definately check it out. I can't find any type of bio on the kid and have no clue how long he's been in the game.
Two albums i would put up there are Slum village and supastition album.
And that new Jean Grae album is pretty sick. (Ain't no other female emcee on her Radar)OS Madden league (360) Giants: 0-0
