This is one of the best opening few hours to 24 in a few years. I just hope they keep it up!

This is one of the best opening few hours to 24 in a few years. I just hope they keep it up!

The producers knew that they were going to do this 2 day, 4 hour bonanza to start off the season this year so they could make the episodes accordingly. That may be why some of the things wrapped up nicely in 4 hours (the accord, airport) but still got things in motion for the whole season.

I really like this set up and hope they keep it for future seasons.

I think Lynn just plays by the book which is why Jack is coming in instead of staying out in the field with Curtis. I wonder what's gonna happen with all the China mess once he is back at CTU. We'll see how Lynn reacts when he finds out about that, if he doesn't know already.

As for who ordered Dianne in, I thought Jack told Curtis to take care of her. But I do agree that agent looked suspicious. Dianne yelled out that she had info for CTU and that one airport cop perked up real fast. Curtis seemed to know what to do with her though.

Agreed, when he finds out it will be interesting, plus I still want to know who is going to try to take him out when he comes to CTU


As far as Diane, I rewatched the episode, and what happened was, Jack asked Buchanan in their very 1st conversation to take her and her son into CTU for protection, and Buchanan agreed.

I think the cop guy didnt realize in the beginning how serious the situation was at first thats all.

yeah, I wouldn't ask too many questions if you are going to start watching the old ones. There are some nice surprises along the way

Was a CTU (counter terrorist unit) agent. The best they had. Worked in the field alot. The guy is the man. He's always stuck in the middle of hot, intense situations on the field, (usually with CTU a step behind the plot which blows any chances of him getting help), and he has to save the day with quick thinking while the odds (always stacked against him).... ALWAYS

Watch a couple of episodes, and I promise you wont want to miss what's happening.

There are usually 3 or 4 things all happening at once. There is always something going on in this show... and it all connects to the main plot of the show.

Anyhow, Jack as explained in this thread no longer works for CTU and had to fake his death to hide from the chinese gov't, because he killed one of their constituents, and now has to blow his cover because someone found out about him faking his death and are trying to kill him and have killed all of the others that helped him stage the death save one person, who is also a CTu tech (very smart computer girl), and usually does things sometimes things that arent permitted by her job to help Jack out because CTU is usually too slow.
