Re: ***OFFICIAL 24: Day 5 Thread - SPOILERS for West Coast***
If Jack Bauer's gone, I would stop watching. Honestly, I hope the show ENDS with Bauer's departure, because IMHO Jack Bauer defines the show. He's what makes the show actually interesting to watch. The show isn't remotely realistic, what they've really managed to do is create this show about a super-agent by the name of Jack Bauer. He's a superhero, and what's most interesting about the show is seeing how he gets out of situations where any other man would fail. To see another agent take his place and do the same things Bauer does would kind of demystifiy him and end up hurting the replay value of the dvd sets that are about Jack Bauer, IMHO. I just don't see the show succeeding with another person as the lead. The only thing connecting the show from season to season has been Jack Bauer and the generic terrorist attack on U.S. soil. Without Jack, it's just the generic terrorist attacks that keep you coming back for more, and that's just not a good incentive to keep watching, as far as I'm concerned.Comment

I think if Keither left I believe they could find a suitable replacement. It would definately suffer bad at first but I think if they got the right guy they could at least get near-ratings. (it would need to be someone badass like jack, not easy)Comment

FLANK 2!!!!!!!!!!!
In honor of Jack Bauer's triumphant return, I demand that we all start using the phase "Flank Two Position" as a part of our everyday language, of course meaning "in trouble" or "under duress." The uses are limitless. For example: "If 80-year-old GM Marv Levy decides to become 80-year-old GM/head coach Marv Levy, the Bills organization will be in Flank Two Position for the next five years. Or, "I just had my bachelor party in Vegas and blew my honeymoon money on a hooker that gave me the clap. Now my marriage plans are in Flank Two Position." Can you please help spread the word?
