Only part I liked is when he was about to bang that drunk chick from the bar, his boys came and got him and his one friend stayed. Besides that, this movie blew ***.

The ending completely ruined it for me. Breaking out the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack after he finally scores just killed it.

Wedding Crashers is one of my favorite comedies ever, and even that movie is a little on the long side. 40-Year-Old Virgin was pretty good, but damn was it a long movie. I kind of want to buy it just for some of the one-liners, but I really can't see myself watching it that many times...

Strange, I thought it was the best part of the movie, though that isn't saying much.


I watched this and Wedding Crashers again this weekend. It's mind boggling how much better Wedding Crashers is, yet half of my friends were arguing that 40YOV is better.

I watched it over the weekend for the first time, funny movie..but not as funny to me as people were saying. We all have diffrent tastes though.

To me, Wedding Crashers was a better movie.

Awsome movie, not my favorite ever but my favorite as of late, i bought the dvd and have watched it several times, passed it around my family. got wedding crashers as well, they both entertained me about the same. i might have had a few more "hysterical" laughs during wedding crashers though.

That was from Hair, and it was funny, although it lasted a little too long. I really liked the movie of course I still have some unopened Star Wars figures from the 1980's so..........

I agree, I only watched 30 minutes or so until I turned it off. I thought it wasn't funny and was just stupid.

Good place for me to make the exact opposite post from most of what's in here...

I still stand by my take that "Virgin" was one of the best comedies of the last 15 years. I think a lot of younger people miss some of the jokes (remember he is 40 and most of the people he hangs with are late 20's and 30's).

ANYWAY.....

I finally saw "Wedding Crashers" on Saturday....

HIGHLY...HIGHLY dissappointing.... not even in the same league as "Virgin". Besides the 20 minute montage of all the weddings at the beginning, it was a NOT funny... and kind of a sappy chick flick. Every single scene after the original montage was a rehashed retread from 20 movies made before. I still laughed enough to make it a passable experience. But, it was nowhere near the hype. Vince Vaughn (who I have loved in the past) is becoming a characterature of himself. And Will Ferrel's cameo was flat out NOT funny (besides the fact that who didn't know that Ferrel was going to be Chaz from the first mention????).

Good concept... The wedding montage was great.... but overall sub-par movie.

See what is really weird, is I usually find what you find funny, to be, well, very funny. And I agree with "Wedding Crashers" being a big let down, and wasn't that funny after the first 30 minutes or so, barring a scene or two. But, you loved 40 year old virgin, and I really thought that was awful. Go figure.

Someone help me... what were the "hilarious" parts in Wedding Crashers?

Loved the concept.... Loved the first 25 minutes.... An occasional chuckle after that... but I missed hilarious. The boyfriend (Tad?) reminded me of the boyfriend in The Wedding Singer. Same exact role in the movie. Chris Walken was WAY underused. And it almost felt like a Chick Flick after the first 30 minutes. Plus, I didn't understand why Vaughn's character hid his dating the sister from Wilson's character? The acted like he was dating the sister that Wilson wanted. It was weird. Weird.
