"More than that we cannot say without running afoul of the magician's code, other than to note that information about how this type of illusion is performed is readily available to those willing to expend the effort to look for it. "

Anybody have a link to a magic website or something. i would love to know how it did it

That's just a way of them saying that they have no idea how he was able to do it.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I'm pretty sure that everyone in the video is in on the trick. Notice how the "store owner" asks to go in with him and when he goes in, the magician comes back off and says he'll even take off his shoes. The camera then shows the shoes in detail, leaving time for the "owner" to go raise one of the pieces of glass. When the onlooker gets to touch the paper (which is held tight, not necessarily against glass) the magician is sure to tell him not to push too hard, because he would reveal that there was no glass there, you can see the paper give quite a bit.

This is a very cool trick and I was pretty amazed by it. But if you watch it with some skepticism you can at least guess some of what is going on.

Bah, I wasn't really feelin the trick. Couldn't see what was going on inside the store. Could've had gay sex and no one would've noticed.

i doubt he would make it that generic of simply lifting the window, plus you would of heard the window being lifted, i think theres more to it than them lifting the window, because after he gets out they knock on the glass where he came out of almost immediately.

But why use the giant piece of paper if its real?

its not real though, thats the point, he has to hide his trick behind the paper otherwise it would reveal the magic. actually i have no clue how to explain it.

The best explanation I have read is that the glass extends down into the window opening, he lifts it up to reveal a hole. Because it's glass you cannot see it move and also the open sign is not actually attached to the glass but the window sill, so it also does not move. He climbs through it and stands in front of the window long enough for it to go back down, before he knocks on it.

That could be it. Notice as he gets out, he slowly brings his right leg out, which could be so that he can slowly let the glass slide back down. Of course, I would think the two people holding the paper would have noticed something like that going on...

Well then what about that David Blaine flying stunt? How do you explain that? It's not like he has strings attached.

How high does he get off the ground?

At least 6 - 8 inches. That's enough proof for me.
