a few websites and forums claim that he's getting like 1 million unique visits a day. never in my life have I seen something grow from nothing to something, like that site has.. what arent they telling us. lol pure crazyiness. Even the businesses claim they are receiving revenue past their initial "ad investment". theres a thin line between genius and pure luck and he's pedaling that line

You went to the site, didn't you? And I bet there are hundreds of posts on other internet forums linking to the story too. People will go just to see it.....another internet fad...no different than those stupid videos of the Christmas lights.

Not per day, but I could see a few hundred thousand a day or so.

Isn't the point of advertising to get people to buy or see what you are selling? How is anybody supposed to see half of those sites when everything is so small?

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

It really is brilliant. All these companies know they can use this advertising as right offs, and the popularity of it is priceless in their opinion. Some companies spend 10 million in online marketing (i know, im the online marketing business), so paying a few thousand is nothing to them, especially on a site that has reached the status it has. Its a no brainer business wise.

This website is in the news again as it was hijacked and held for ransom.

Interesting little twist to this story. Looks like not all publicity is good.

Damn. $50,000 they wanted from him for that site? I wonder how much e-hijackers would ask for if they hijacked OS. What do you think? $50,000? $40,000 if we took Squid back with the page?

Well $50,000 just to stop the attacks. If he sold the site (and this would be if he was only at 500,000 sold) then he could get much, much more.
