    Final Destination 3

Following up from this now inaccessible thread:

    http://forums.operationsports.com/vB...al+destination

I just saw a new commercial for this movie, and I now have set new hopes for it. The commercial that I saw made it look much better than what we have previously seen. Granted, I think a lot of people just don't like the idea of the movie in general, thus any sequel following the first one is useless to you in the first place... but I actually like these movies. The trailer for this one was very iffy for me, though. But, like I said, the new commercial that I saw made it look better than I have seen.

I'll try to find a link for it.

I thought the first two FD's were great fun, especially the first. Definitely looking forward to this one, despite the fact that it might change my feelings on taking a trip to Six Flags this summer...

I loved the first one, I thought the second was hilarious. The way people were dying. That kid leaving the dentists office. (Watch it in slow-mo) This one I don't know if it will be serious like one or a comedy of sorts like 2, but either way I will be there on the 10th to see it. So here is to hoping that I don't walk away disapoointed.

I am definitely NOT getting on any more roller coasters after I see this film. I had a nice stretch with the coasters, I was addicted to them back in the day. I always thought about getting stuck on a loop or something, not flying off the track at 80 MPH.

The most disturbing thing for me in the trailer is when the people go into those tanning booths and get locked in.

Ugh, it sends chills up my spine. :y4:

Do you know of Drop Zone and Paramount's Great America?

I suppose I could startle you some with my hour-long wait stuck 225 feet above the ground, but instead I'll talk about how a kid once died on that ride. That's right, ride-goers. A kid somehow fell out of his... harness thing, and died. The ride was closed for about 4 months, and after that, it didn't stop me from going on there again.

That said, this movie will not do the same for me. It's just a movie... whether reality can kick in or not. Now, if I had a premonition about this kind of thing, I would not go on the ride. At least, not that night.

And if I go to Vegas again, you can bet I'm going to ride the Stratosphere Insanity ride! I don't care if there are any prior mishaps to people dying... I LOVE that ride!

The only one I didn't think was too hilarious was the first death... Todd. I cringe every time I see that death. This may sound rather odd, but I'd appreciate it if there were less quick deaths and more suffering deaths like Todd's. That's what appeals me (again, strange as it sounds). I know I sound like a sick freak when I say that... but it's the same thing in Saw and Saw II. The slow ones are much better.

I was talking to someone about the Final Destination series a few days ago, not knowing a 3rd was right around the corner. I love 'em but always get a weird feeling after watching it for the first time. Goes away the next day though.

I'm hoping the 3rd is more serious, like the first one.
The 2nd was almost comical b/c it seemed like it was going for a Mortal Kombat finishing move effect (more gory for shock value).

Count me in for seeing this the first or 2nd weekend it's out.

I watched FD1 and FD2 this weekend on DVD just getting ready for FD3. I've seen them all in theatres, and I plan on seeing this one as well.
