I only caught a bit of it: The Tangent with Armisen was pretty good.

The 2nd was just...meh. One of the Lead Female vocals did most of the song

Fred Armisen is one of the most under-rated members of this cast. The dude has talent. I was really hoping, with the return of Maya Rudolph, that they'd do the skit with Nooni and Nooni.

Anyway, I can't figure out this season. They have a lot of people I like (Armison, Forte, Maya Rudolph, Sanz, Poehler, Parnell, Finesse Mitchell, Keenan Thompson, Dratch) and have added a couple of great guys in Andy Samberg and Bill Hader, but the skits (outside of Weekend Update, which might be funnier now than it's ever been) really lack.

Hopefully, things come together and they start to mesh.

In my mind, Prince might be the greatest living guitar player...even greater than Eric Clapton. His guitar solo at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame when they did a group rendition of While My Guitar Gently Weeps was insane.

That first Prince song was really good, I didn't much care for the second with the female on vocals though.

May I suggest "Sign 'O' Times" to anyone contemplating the purchase of a Prince CD. It's his best work and IMO the best album ever.

I LOVE Prince as a guitarist, certainly one of the most underrated guitar players EVER. That SNL performance showed me how he can still bring it. I wish they would replay that induction ceremony, or release it on DVD, I would buy it for that solo alone.

                  But better than Clapton? Blasphemy.

Youtube.com baby! You can watch that performance or even the SNL performance from lsat night. Unreal website. I think people underrate Prince cuz he does a lot of funk music and not as much electric guitar solos, but yeah..so talented.

Thanks, glad to get a chance to hear that first song again. Any idea where an audio file of it might pop up?

Real funny episode last night, IMO. One of the first episodes in a while where it was "consistently" good. (usually they have a few skits that are funny and the rest blows)

HAD to put it up. For those of you who only know Prince from his rumored personality, publicity, or weird name saga, watch this. Guitarists go to bed DREAMING they had chops like this.

Much like Billy Corgan, I think Prince's reputation as a guitarist is actually hurt by the fact that he is also a singer, with a voice that rubs a ton of people the wrong way.

I just watched his performance on SNL and that was sick. I'm waiting for the Hall of Fame performance to load up.

I need like a handful of songs to sample, preferably from Purple Rain and Dirty Mind, since I'll probably get those right before his new album drops on March 21st.

In the HOF performance, to the ride side (facing) of Petty, is that Harrison's son?

Is that the same Neville that sang the anthem? That guy sucked bad. (he was supposedly a legend, sounded more like a mediocore AI contestant)
