uprgading from dial up ? Dsl or CableI am currently stuck in th 1990''s with my dial up connection, I know. I have some questions about getting Dsl or cable. Where can I find the cheapest Dsl service. I did a search and not much came up, maybe b/c i live in apartment. Dsl also seems to have a very expensive installation fee (200-400$). Cable seems to be a cheaper install. Which one is faster and more reliable. If you guys could give me some info I would be very thankful. I live in south Florida just to let you know I don't live where not many people live.Gametag JetsfanSINY79Tags: None

Get cable. Definatly faster and more reliable. I've had cable for a year and half and no regrets. If you do decide to get DSL you have to check if it is available in your area. In my area it wasn;t available whish also led to me getting cable.

Oh man dialup. That brings back memories of me smashing my keyboard in frustration due to the rediculous slowness of that connection...Comment

I also hated it whenever the phone rang my connection would be cut off! That's what led me to getting cable ASAP. It seemed everytime I was online the damn phone would ring!Originally posted by Vinceanity2k3Oh man dialup. Re: uprgading from dial up ? Dsl or Cable

THere was an easy way to stop that. Turn off call waiting. On mine you just dial *70 then the number to which you are connecting to. Still cable rules. I can never imagine going back to dail-up, ever.Originally posted by SPTOI also hated it whenever the phone rang my connection would be cut off! That's what led me to getting cable ASAP.
