Nickelback - I Had To Laugh.

    http://www.theweb****e.net/nickelback.htm

At least they're ripping their own songs off and not early 90s rock.

Edit: replace the **** with sh**e

WOW.... My brother always said they sounded similar in every song... I just didn't know how similar each of their songs sounded.

That version of "Someday" sounds like it's been sped up. Maybe it's just me.

Those guys are seriously garbage. Everytime their song comes on at work it drives me nuts.

They suck nuts...but hey, that's what sells these days: no talent assclowns portraying an image, and not quality musicianship.

                  Someday was definitely sped up.

Oh well... just because two songs sound the same (or maybe even three, or nineteen), doesn't mean they're not good. I love their song Far Away (it happens to be my MySpace profile song right now). I think the voice itself is already so unique, that when you hear it in two different songs, they can already almost be heard as the "same song".

You kidding? I'm old school like that. I love these guys! Of course, that's just opinion... but I have to ask, for those that still do like these guys... I mean, I know that we would love diversity in the songs, but what's wrong with them sounding the same in their songs if you like them? You should at least like the songs, although the variation is lacking.

I mean, to me, it just sounds like they haven't heard enough of their music for extensive periods of time. When I first got my "So Long Astoria" Ataris album, I seriously thought every song (with the exception of a few) was the same... I mean, that's just what I thought it was. After listening to the songs a few times, going at random, I started to catch onto a few things. Two weeks later, I didn't see any similarities in any of the songs anymore.

you're right in that it's opinion and you should hold strong onto that. I guess some of us are bitter that bands such as nickleback get to hog the radio stations when our other favorite bands never get a chance.

it's not the voice that is distinct... he uses reverb so bad it isn't funny. He OVERSINGS every single note and uses a reverb effect to give it double the punch. That is what SUCKS! At least Shinedown is breaking the mold and getting airplay while also being highly talented. Shinedown - American Minor - Silvertide - Beautiful Creatures <- The future of rock. What do they all have in common? They all go old school for their music, and they all have kickass musicians.

Actually, I heard some of their songs live on acoustics, and it's not that he has a reverb thing. There's just another guy singing the harmony of what he's singing (one octave lower). You're right, though... he does seem to oversing.
