That dad is a total ***. Why would you do that to your young child? To get your own sick twisted laughs? Just show your coworkers. That dad needs to have his parenting license revoked. I would beat the holy **** out of that father if I came across him. It's one thing when it's random (as all the stupid links prove), but for the dad to deliberately set his kid up...that's just f'ed.

Thats sad, you see hows the young childs instincts were to go run up to and cling to the father? And this is how the dad gets his rocks off?

What an F. The kid starts to cry long after the scare, you can clearly see he was traumatized.

That kid has an XBox 360 in the background, he has nothing to cry about.

Him hitting the monitor was funny though.

I'm guessing that 360 is his immature fathers and not his given his age.

If my father ever did that to me, I'd make sure that I'd NEVER forget. At that age, a kid has a certain innocence that shouldn't be manipulated for entertainment. I'd so remember that. The father is an @$$ and that's it. It was funny at first, but seeing the kid run up to the camera and start crying, you'd only wonder just how deep that goes into his mind. Hey, what long term affects could that have on the kid. Making fun shouldn't be at the expense of someone's sanity....not even someone as close as that.......

yeah, the poor kid will be scarred for life. probably start doing drugs and living a life of crime, all because he was scared.

It all depends if this could be characterized as a trumatic experience...

Traumatic experiences could lead to some abnormal behavior later on.

Psychology tells you that experiences in childhood can ruin your adulthood. Never stated he would start doing drugs, but it's definitely a possibility from this one minor prank.......

It would have been one thing if the dad stopped taping and started looking after his kid once he saw him start crying, but he didn't, he just kept on filming. The set up was funny, but I don't understand the videotaping and especially the continued taping after the kids started balling.

Of course that could be a young looking 10 year old who knew what was coming and it was a friend of his standing on a chair or something doing the taping....

my guess is the dad or who ever is taping is getting revenge. Kid probably did that same trick to daddy 100 times so it was time for some pay back.
