I can't believe that was 9th on Love and Appreciate.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Murs sounds like a very sad individual from that interview, almost sounds kind emo-ish. Its hard to believe he could release two CDs with 9th since it sounds like he can't stand him. I know that, as a rapper, theres no way in hell I could do a CD with someone who I didnt get along with. Sounds like 9th treats him like sh...but he doesn't care. I dont know how I feel about Murs or 9th after reading that interview.

I wonder if Phonte and Big Pooh have a problem with 9th..because if so, there won't be Little Brother for long.

Murs is a real cool guy although he does sound depressed. He needs to do a cd with Joe Budden. Two depressed *** rappers on a cd together lol.

Well he did say that outside of the studio they are friends so I think it's just that when it's time to work 9th likes to work hard. I've heard about that before in a story about jean grey and come other people coming down to NC to work with 9th. I don't think phonte and pooh have to worry about him acting like that as much though.

word but its not uncommon . the two dude in "clipse" cant stand each other and wont be in the studio at the same time -yet they are brothers.

thats a great interview and murs sounds like such a cool guy - but as jmood put it depressed .its not cool that he wasnt happy with "murrays revenge" - i didnt like the beats but i listen to it daily because i enjoy what murs has to say. it sounds like 9th did him dirty on this album.
And with the third pick - I made the earth sick

It didn't sound like 9th did anything wrong, it sounds like his label or distribution people messed him up.

But geesh... good thing its the underground, because on the real, Murs said too much... I'm sure 9th is gonna be pissed.

I absolutely love this cd tho... I take back what I thought about the cd being short, I actually love that aspect of it. A quick half-hour of listening to one of my fave mc's, and the best producer ever in hip-hop... good for a drive.

Best producer ever? He is good but not versatile enough.

His drums are the same on almost every track. He switched it up a little on the Minstrel Show but the music Little Brother was putting out between The Listening and Mistrel Show sounded a little to similar imo. The Buckshot solo album had the same type beat on every track it seemed like. With all that being said, he is still one of my favorite producers right now. His best work was on the God's Step son album. I just can't agree with him being the best ever when you got RZA, Pete Rock and Premo still producing great music.

I thought he said 9th had done a cut of "Love & Appreciate" but the label wouldn't let them put it on the album because of some "legal reasons?" Murs mentioned some kind of fight over a "note" and how the label thought it was a sample and didn't believe it was actually 9th rapping.

exactly . hes not one of the 10 best producers let alone best ever.

dre , pete rock, premier, jay dee , just blaze, timbaland , neptunes , havoc, rza, kanye west, large proffesor , hi-tek , dj quik ...
i can go on for awhile . i mean i enjoy 9ths work and hes very good but his recent stuff has been meh , same damn lullaby type feel to all his songs.

I just read that interview and, wow. Murs seems like hes got some serious **** to deal with but the only time he alluded to anything was that he never has enough creative control and in one of the last questions he says that everybody that calls him has a problem and they need his help. Must suck.

About all the stuff he said about 9th, that's pretty interesting, especially about how most of the songs he recorded off the first take. The album sounds good, but I can see what he's talking about.

most of those guys you name defeat your statement... tell me, Dre's beats don't all sound similar... and they do, because when someone designs a beat that sounds like his, they say its a "dre beat"... meaning he has a sound he uses and sticks to it... Pete Rock is great, Premier is great, kanye and hi-tek are great...

                                IMO... 9th is GREAT too.

and IMO... I will choose his creations over any other's any day of the week, and in that case I would have to say that according to myself, he's the best ever.
