Pete Rock is great, Premier is great, kanye and hi-tek are great...

    IMO... 9th is GREAT too.

and IMO... I will choose his creations over any other's any day of the week, and in that case I would have to say that according to myself, he's the best ever.
listen to dres stuff on "the chronic " then listen to his work on "2001" and tells me that sounds the same .
listen to his work with nwa and listen to his work on "doggystyle " and tells me it sounds the same.

dre has worked on closed to 6 or 7 classic albums . how many has 9th worked on , imo one .

to each his own though man - if your feeling 9th like thats cool . aint trying to argue im just trying to see why you think hes the best.
And with the third pick - I made the earth sick

I think I like this more than 3:16.

I totally understand that yo... at this point I can't just go out and tell people every musical and melodical reason for my liking of 9th's beats, because I'm not very familiar with all the different sounds that are put into it...

but he sure as hell does it nicely...

and DJ Drama must see something, if he's trying to promote Little Brother. He got Young Jeezy (I believe) famous.

The music is always so relaxing, and all the passengers I have in my car have that same "Wow, this is a sick beat" look on their face when I'm bumpin the 9th Wonder of the World.

...Thanks fellas. Murs, along with Little Brother were introduced to me via you guys from this site. IMO LB as well as Murs are some of the best MCs out there AND they come with some very fresh un-cookie cutter-like songs I've heard in awhile. I really like "Murray's Revenge" especially "Silly Girl", "Dreamchaser" and "Murray's Day".

Again fellas...THANKS. First LB, now Murs. OS just isn't about the gaming...it's a very diversified experience. Please...keep it going...

i can go on for awhile . i mean i enjoy 9ths work and hes very good but his recent stuff has been meh , same damn lullaby type feel to all his songs.
but here is the debate though y'all. as far as what 9th wonder does, he is in the top 10 ever as far as sampling. and i aint talkin that puffy take a loop and slam some drums on it. I think premo is 1st. then pete rock, large professor, easy mo bee, the beat miners. and 9th fits right in there with them. and lets not forget dre. just because he replays a sample with his band guys like mike elizondo and them dont make him nothin but a smapler who mimmicks tight samples real good. but 9th showed his skills on the last track where he cuts the fvck outta that bob james nautilus track. I have heard that track used for at least 25+ songs, live at the bbq-(main source and nas aka the rebel to america) daytona 500 (wu tang) and there is run dmc(beats to the ryhme) pete rock sun wont come out ... but none of them cut that track up and chopped it up and re pieced it together like 9th wonder. He has almost dare i say, made that song unsamplable ever again. if you know the intricate pieces to that song that he used, its is nothing short of a wonder how he did it. he is a good procder when compared to the great HIT makers. but when put in the discussion with other classic samplers he is in the greats class.

And i am feelin you bout his recent stuff. but this has happened to just blaze, alchemist, and a lot of others who have seen that the money train can make a stop to your town if you make stuff that appeals to the masses. i think some of 9th wonders latest stuff is reachin. stick to the formula and if he does he will have a legacy like premo and pete rock. how many mainstream hits have they had? and now compare that to how long they have still been around even though they havent had that mainstream hit. they get more love from hip hop fans because of never compromising their sound for soundscans.

and i forgot, kanye is nice but his cousin devo be doin a lot of them beats too.
