I thought Dave Chapelle's Calvin-McDonald's commercials were pretty hilarious.

What blatant and offensive plagarism. Get your own idea, McDonald's!

If I were involved in marketing for McDonald's, I'd pitch this idea which I've mentioned on the forums before. The King has the ball and is streaking down the field, leaving juked defenders in his wake. The NFL music is playing and you're thinking this is just another commercial showcasing the awesome force that is the King. Then, out of nowhere, Grimace busts into the picture at top speed and drags the King down with a borderline illegal horsecollar tackle. As the King writhes on the ground holding his now-twisted leg with Grimace standing over him pointing and taunting, the Hamburgler picks up the bouncing football and takes it to the house for the TD. Then you quick cut to a close-up picture of piping hot McDonald's french fries to remind everyone how damn awesome they are, and the commercial ends. Hells yeah.

But anyway, I digress. Those new McDonald's commercials are completely lame.

Haha that sounds like an awesome commercial that you propose, however wouldn't it make more sense to have the King running and outta nowhere Grimace hits him, he fumbles the ball and then the Hamburglar picks it up, runs it in for a TD, points up to the skybox and the camera pans up and it's Mayor McCheese standing there with President Bush or Paul Tagliabue or someone like that!! That would rawk!

Hey, I lace up the ol' rollerblades sometimes and go down and shoot some hoop. I usually do that on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

On Tuesday and Thursday I get some guys together to play skateboard football, and on Saturday we try BMX tennis.

I make sure my friends I play with are from all different heritages and listen to all types of music and participate in multiple cultures and we say one liners that are dumbed down so everyone can understand what we're saying.

We were actually the basis for those McDonald's commercials.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Does anyone with advertising knowledge know the answer to my question? I would really appreciate some insight.

And no comments on my sheeple with the Fusion razor? I'm stunned...
