Oh i'm not really interested in awards shows. I used to watch them all the time when I was younger. I guess I grew out of it. I'll watch bits and pieces just to see Jon Stewart. Hopefully he does well.
Oh yeah, I tried watching Brokeback Mountain but all that gay sex stuff early on turned me off that I couldn't watch the rest.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

i saw this thing on my local news where they have a screening of the oscars on one of the movie screens and in the front of the theatre, they have a red carpet and tell you to dress your best.
instead of dressing up in sports wear for a big game, they have something for the movie goers.
Must be a local thing.Comment

Re: 78th Annual Academy Awards
My top five of 2005 is:
1) Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
2) Munich
3) The Weather Man
4) Everything is Illuminated
5) Brokeback Mountain
So...I hope Munich wins. I don't think Capote or Good Night and Good Luck deserve to win (yes, I saw them). I really enjoyed Crash, but I would be shocked if it won Best Picture.Comment

Oh wellOriginally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

I hope Joaquin wins Best Actor though.
Best Actress:
I haven't seen P&P or Mrs Henderson Presents, but I hope Felicity Huffman wins. Hard to explain what made her performance so good.
Best Supp Actor:
Giamatti deserves an Oscar for previous performances, but I think Gyllenhaal should win this time even though his role is practically a lead one.
Best Supp. Actress:
Amy Adams was about the only thing I enjoyed in Junebug. She's freakin' adorable in the beginning and then heartbreaking by the end.Comment

I've said this before and I'll say it again.....I'll never understand why Walk The Line is not nominated for best picture.Comment
