We aren't. I'm only wondering why people chose to condem movies without seeing them. This goes for every type of movie, not just Brokeback Mountain.

OK, here I go.

Brokeback Mountain might be a really good movie. I wouldn't know or care to know because I am not into the whole "Hey I'm a super-mature guy and content with my sexuality, so I don't care what people think" type of thing. I just don't care to see naked-cowboy sword fighting thank you very much.

The only reason this movie is up for Best Picture, is because some a$$hole decided to really push the envelope. THAT IS THE ONLY REASON!!

OK then you might not have said anything "bad" about it but you have disregarded it as just being about gay cowboys(as if that explains how the movie isn't worth being nominated or worth the accolades it has recieved) and you complained about people being infatuated with the gay part when you and the people who discredit it are the only ones who are obsessed with the gay stuff. People who like it like it because it's a good movie, not because there are gay men in it.

#1 it is about gay cowboys. anyway you want to twist it bottom line it is about gay men who are cowboys.

#2 i never said it wasnt worth being nominated.

#3 i like the way how you try to throw the "i must be obsessed with gay men" thing on me, but thats nto going to work.

#4 newsflash but people ARE infatuated with homosexuality especially lately, unlike you i dont ignore that and i was only speaking the truth, whether i think the movie wins the award because of that is my perogative.

#5 it may very well be a good movie , it is up for awards after all, but im not intrested in that sort of thing.

so please stop trying to bust people out when your the one who hopped into the middle of the conversation trying to stir stuff up.

People may go see the movie because they heard about the gay stuff but if they like the movie it has nothing to do with that. They like the movie because of the characters, cinematography, writing, and whatever else. And about me throwing anything out there, you are the one who brings up the gay cowboy thing. When people try to discuss other aspects of the movie you bring that up for whatever reason.

it's laughable that people claim to know why a movie is nominated without ever seeing it. if you haven't seen a movie, STFU about it, and that goes for all the movies. i've seen very few of the movies nominated, so i'm not running my mouth with a bunch of nonsense about them.

Has anybody seen Munich? I wanted to see it, but it was only playing at my theatre for two or three weeks and then pulled out to be replaced with Walk The Line. I was disappointed.

just to clarify what i meant by the people being infatuated with gay thing...
being homosexual has become increasingly popular over the last 3-4 years if you havent noticed more and more movies and tv shows promote homosexuality... all i was saying is since its the "popular" thing.. then it will probably win.
