 Re: fans of underground rap?

wow pretty harsh XCell but I can't say that I disagree. I was expecting more. It's like they were aware that they gave a C- effort and were OK with it. Plus, 12 songs, come on.Lux y VeritasComment

 Re: fans of underground rap?

 Artist: Mr. J. Medeiros
 Album: Of Gods and Girls
Producers: Illmind; Joey Beats; Mike Kilo; Mr. J. Medeiros; Ohmega Watts; Siamese Sisters; Stro the 89th Key; 20Syl
Release Date in the USA: July 24, 2007

Mr. J. Medeiros of The Procussions is a christian rap artist based out of Los Angeles originating from Colorado. First and foremost, it isn't your typical cheesy rhymes that are only about our Lord and Savior, and I think God approves. Topics of discussion include some crucial problems in society and the world that hardly get addressed or mentioned in the news. Such issues include the Underaged Child Sex Trade that runs rampant in many countries outside of the U.S. in the song "Constance" titled after a 13-year-old girl from the Phillipines. The song rivals for the title of "Hook of the Year".

Outside the world of problems, Mr. J. often pokes fun at his "brokeness", especially at the end of the song "Amelie" produced by 20Syl. The skit is up for "Skit of the Year". Mr. J. invites Pigeon John, Strange Fruit Project, and Illmind to all contribute to his album for an overall dope piece to listen to. The best tunes on the album are surprisingly all self-produced which leads me to think why he didn't just produce the entire cd, as he seems pretty talented and knowledgable of good hip-hop music.- Grade: - B+

- Song to Download: - "Constance"
 - Produced By: - Mr. J. Medeiros

 Re: fans of underground rap?

I don't remember seeing this review but like I said awhile ago, this is a good *** album and the production is better than the two Procussions albums. He needs to produce more.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

 Re: fans of underground rap?

that's the best part IMO... I mean, nothing against christians seeing that I am one, but christian rap is often BLAH, and only has one focus... this isn't like that at all.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment
