Re: The Hills Have Eyes
I went and seen this last night, and not to spoil it for anyone.... but I thought it was the most ignorant movie I've ever seen. I laughed my butt off all the way through it. It's extremely predictable, and not once did I jump or get startled.
My fiance' hate's scary movies, and even she was sitting there saying how dumb the movie was. It was gory, but still ignorant. A few times during the movie I had the whole theater cracking up laughing... lol.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: The Hills Have Eyes
Yeah, to have such a low budget, I thought the first one was done really well. They should have left it alone.
And everyone, I mean EVERYONE in the theater was restless during the entire movie, that's how bad it was. It wasn't my decision to go see it. As soon as I seen the previews for it, I knew it was giong to be horrible. But we went out with another couple, who wanted to see it.
There were quite a few laugh out loud funny parts in it. Things that are so ridiculous that you can't help but crack jokes about them. One of the "people" that are in the hills, looks exactly like Sloth from the Goonies, so they can't even get their own characters. When they first showed that dude, I was dying laughing, and I just went... "HEY YOU GUYS!!!" like Sloth, lol. It was hilarious.Twitter - WTF_OS

But I agree with you, I hate horror remakes. The horror genre gets such a bad rep over them. I'm a horror fan, and the better horror movies always have a small budget and are written well.Comment

Re: The Hills Have Eyes
Yeah, I know that. But come on... get your own look. It looks like they went over to the Goonies set... borrowed Sloth's costume... and wore it. I just thought they could have been a little more original with the portrayal of the people.
The children and so forth looked fine, but Sloth and one other guy looked like a drugged Nick Nolte, lol.Twitter - WTF_OS

I hear ya, the only reason I even wanted to remotely see it was because of Alexandar Aja (director). He did High Tension, which is easily up in the top 10 horror flicks.Comment
