Re: The "rate my latest entertainment purchase" thread

I haven't really purchased any games, music or DVD's in a little bit. However, I did purchase a new A/V reciever for my home theater:

Just bought a light blue creative zen vision M 30gb mp3/videoplayer.
I just got the black today (I know it scratches easiest, but its the coolest looking).

It is definately an amazing little device. It's so nice in fact that I'm scared to death of dropping or scratching it.

That I got today. I like alot of Eagles songs, and wanted to get something a little more complete than just a greatest hits album.

It's a good collection. I especially like the partitioning of the songs into early work, ballads, and rock. The inclusion of the NYE concert from a couple years ago was also a nice touch. Their performance on "Ol' 55" from it is just amazing.
Overall, Selected Works is the perfect reflection of their studio work. I would definitely look into getting some of their albums afterwards though. As someone who was raised on The Eagles and have had them greatly influence what I listen to now, nothing beats their actual releases.

I think no matter who the band is, so long as they are actually a good band, a greatest hits/compilation set just isn't enough to get a true feel for the band.

                            Unless it's Creed...

I know what you mean though, and agree. I just wanted something easily accesible and was somewhat extensive. I'll probably wind up adding more of their actual studio releases in the coming months.

                                Nope

I just clicked the link from your sig and started reading through them. Some pretty funny stuff on there.

I was thinking about PMing you about using it but I didn't think you'd care so I just went ahead with it.
