For sirius, don't you only need the receiver and that's it? (well aside from a subscription too)

Whether it’s new hip-hop and classic comedy or ‘90s jams and sports podcasts, everything you want to hear lives here at SiriusXM.
It is really easy, run the cable from the module to the head unit and mount the antenna. It took me about 15-20 minutes to install for my radio and I am far from being mechanically inclined.XBL & PSN: zasbury25Comment

Ok thanks. Looks like I am going to wait since I want it at home and the MP3 player is over $200 (want to listen to it on my headphones).Originally posted by hulkster29normally they come with the car kit... but if ya want to listen to it in the house, you would need to get the home kit
Still the $12.99/month isn't bad.

Re: Sirius or XM??
Well, for a while (and possibly still) the MyFi's were $100. I know they're coming out with new ones (can't remember the name of the one, but they gave them to O&A already) that are smaller than the MyFi and probably better overall. And of course, like it has been said, it'll be LIVE audio, rather than having to record it like Sirius.Originally posted by hulkster29the MyFi units cost about $300, but includes everything you need for home & car.. the other units for XM are going out for around $50, but then you would need to buy the other kits along with that... as far as the cost of Sirrus units, I bought a Xact unit from Target, plus a device that can make it portable (however the thing looks like a huge phone)..Comment

Re: Sirius or XM??
If it's XM ready it means it's got an input for an XM reciever. You would need to get the receiver installed and probably the XM antenna, I believe.Originally posted by TheTruth916I was wondering how does XM or Sirus exactly work?
