little less powerful than Macbook Pro, free printer after rebate with purchase of any Mac, and I'd use the extra money for 3-yr applecare, and you'd still come in ubeder budget, I'd think.

Well, if you opt to install and run windows, the same as any windows machine with the same specs.
OSX gaming is decent, but not a ton of games, and the games that do come out, come later than they do on the PC side.
Although, keep in mind that you're not going to get much of a "gaming" laptop for $1,500, PC OR Mac.I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!
