I just like to listen to music while I am in the field. The blues dont seem to like it either so I have to hide it when I am playing.

Just bought a 30gb Video Ipod (I guess that's what you call them). I have an Imac so I am just using Itunes. Guess I am just looking for tips and tricks that a new user may not know about? And some must have accessories. I have a good set of noise canceling ear phones.

I use Winamp and the IPOD Plugin for my IPOD. You can drag and drop music and video files. I just traded my NANO in for a Video IPod and need a good case. Can anyone recommend a good one?

I think it's called iPod Shell. REALLY good stuff. I highly recommend it. I have a Nano Shell and it works great.

Speaking of Nanos, is it possible to change the battery in a Nano? If so do I send it to Apple or what? My Nano will hold a charge for maybe 1 hour of music nowadays.

iSkin makes a good case for video ipods. I think their website is www.iskin.com

Thanks for the case recommendations fellas. I plan on buying one or the other listed above, but until then, the IPOD isn't leaving the house. I'm just so terrified of scratching the face.

                    Couple questions:

                    1. why isn't fire wire supported ? I picked up a fire wire cable so sync so I could free up a usb port and I plug it in and it says it is not supported ! Crazy they are selling the cable if it isn't even supported.

                    2. is mpeg-4 the format videos need to be in?

Yes Heel I believe MPeg4 is the standard. If you need a program to convert your videos to that format, hit me up on IM.

thanks. I have one I downloaded for mac (forget the name though). It seems to work fine but it has lots of options on what format to convert too. Just wanted to make sure it was mpeg-4.

I got a Ipod problem. Alot of the songs I send to it cut off after a few seconds when I play them on the Ipod. I've searched all around but haven't come up with any answers. Anyone have a similar problem. Some songs play all the way through and then there are some that cut off after some seconds.

I have a problem. My video ipod has a shortage in the earbud hardware and I want it fixed badly but I don't want to lose all my songs?
