                Give me Mad World personally. I didn't realize how great it was until Gary Jules did an acoustic remake of it, and I was blown away by how great the lyrics are.

                                                    I was going to just say that Billy Ocean is the epitome of the 80s. He had a lot of style, lived hard and had a string of mega hits which are still highly listenable today.

                                                    I hear his career went in flames due to a couple drug busts and unprofitalbe albums by 1990 time.

                                                        Good choice. The only reason I didn't choose something by Prince was that I couldn't narrow it down to a single song, I liked almost everything he released in the 80's.
