Real Talk: Should women be athletes???

Before you come here to flame just hear me out. I have absolutely NO problem with females being athletes. Its just that the object of most males desire is a pretty, clean and attractive woman who is mostly on the feminine side. Now you have alot of women who are in to sports, lifting weights like guys, building muscle mass depending on the sports and answer this, do you really find that attractive? Would you really date a chick who has more testorterone than you? Would you be willing to find out if that said woman has a strong male odor down below?

Anyway, I know there is a diffrence between wanting to smash a certain female athlete such as Serena or Venus Williams, that Fench softball chick but would you really want to date a lady who has bigger shoulders than you? It seems that females like that are a dime a dozen in competitive sports. Who are both physically attractive as well as keep a ladylike posture.

I'm not bringing this up to be a chauvinist cause I'm far from it. Just looking at a WNBA game and seeing all the butch chicks who really aren't to hot looking, would you rather a female stay lady like or do you not mind the sweaty, jock look. I understand the equal rights argument will pop up at some point but I just would like to hear a few diffrent opinions on the matter. And no, I'm not taking us back to pre-womens rights so dont get your wife or gf to come on here and cuss me out. I'm simply curious.

Hmmm....well i don't find the "butch" look to be sexy but I don't watch sports to ogle women (tho I do love watching volleyball during the summer olympics. The Brazilian women are HOT!)

So I think women should be involved in sports. The stereotypical view of them tends to be limiting and is another form of prejudicial thinking IMO.

I don't mind them being in sports. Whatever makes them happy is fine with me.

I just wouldn't date a woman that's more masculine then me in some regards.

should men be bodybuilders? or offensive linemen? A lot of women i know think those guys look like freaks and aren't attractive...if you're just going by what people think is attractive, then it can apply to men too.

That's a little surprising. One would think women would be ga-ga for bodybuilder types.

Not guys like these though. If I was a female or gay, I wouldn't want to be smashed by that.

Sure, women like dudes with muscles. I'm a big dude, so I can stand being with a chick who's a little big. There are a few Rugby playing girls at my College who I find attractive.

I think women should be allowed to do whatever they want in sports. Whether or not they look good doing it is a different story!

Exactly. Plus, don't expect women's sports ever to be close in popularity as men's.

Other than if the sport is designated as a "mixed" event, like in tennis. I understand there are many women golfers who could dust a great deal of the men, but make sure the conditions are equal. Mixed team golf events may not be bad.

Most of the hot girls in my high school were the athletes...but that's because they're not jacked and are just toned and just...hot.

most female athletes aren't attractive, but that's why there are singers, actresses, models, etc.

Re: Real Talk: Should women be athletes???

Here has been my experience with female athletes and their sex appeal.

                          Volleyball - Almost always hot
Softball - Seldom hot, usually lesbians
Lacrosse - Some attractive girls here and there
Basketball - Sue Bird is hot, she is an exception
Soccer - Hottest of the hottest girls at my old HS played soccer
                          Tennis - Hot
                          Dance - Hot
Cheerleading - Stereotypically hot, not so much in Vermont

As for female athletes, I have no problems other then them stealing scholarships from more deserving male athletes because of Title IX.

Not that they are athletes, but there was just a 14 year old girl on the spelling bee named Saryn Hooks, as bad and dirty as I feel saying this, in 4 years she is going to be unbelievably hot.

Well, I think women should play sports if they want, however, from experience it appears to me that most women that play basketball are, shall we say "switch hitters", which goes to the butch reference. I guess the real question is not whether women should play sports, but rather do I enjoy women that look like men in the sports they play or participate in. I do not.
