Agreed, but Aniston seems to have a fair share of haters on this site. I'm still a fan, but I would have MUCH rather seen the '94-'96 "Friends"-era curvy Aniston get naked as opposed to the '06 era emaciated-see-every-bone-on-her-vertabre-from-the-trailer Aniston. A sad decline for the hottie I risked life and limb for by putting up a salacious picture in my locker from 7th grade on....

Just went and saw this today. Hilarious movie i thought. Great date movie if you are looking for one as there is plenty of humor, and Aniston looks GOOD in this flick i thought. The ladies will also love the movie as lets be serious, it pretty much is a chick flick. But it is funny and was, in my opinion, really well written. Definately worth seeing I thoughtComment

Re: The Break Up
Decent overall. Not really a fan of the ending.
***********SPOILERS************
I would've really liked to see it come full circle with them running into each other at an Opera or a Cubs game and just starting over. Not them just going their seperate ways. Oh well.Comment

I gotta disagree, I thought the ending was great. The girl I went with hated it, mainly cause she wanted them to get back together. But I thought that it was a perfect random meeting you could have with an old ex. IDK, i guess a lot of people wont like it since there is such little closure to it but I thought it was good. Not sure if this is his 1st writing credit, but I saw Vaughn was listed as a writer and thought it was a really well done flick.Comment

On another note, wouldn't Vince Vaugn, Owen Wilson, and Ben Stiller be perfect for a movie about a fantasy football league?Comment

Re: The Break Up
Originally posted by JayBee74I'm sorry, but even if they had a scene in Camden Yards I couldn't recommend this movie. The script destroyed any chemistry between the two leads and wasn't that supposed to be a big part of it? Sure there was some great stuff, like the VV video game playing scenes, but it wasn't enough to pull it out of all the mess. The movie just didn't have enough heart .Comment

Re: The Break Up
I really liked this movie even though it was a lot more serious than i expected. Vince and Jennifer are really able to portray a dying relationship well. If you've ever been in a long term relationship that has lost its spark, than you will understand what the characters are going through. Good movie.Comment

I liked the ending. For once they didn't get back together. My fiance hated the ending, but I loved it.President of the Devils Den

I liked it, because not everyone that breaks up...will get back together. I sat there the whole time wishing the unthinkable would happen, and it did. They both ended up happy with their careers..., and if she wouldn't have played games with him. They would have still been together. She kinda got what she asked for. Might teach some girls don't play headgames, or you might just get what you didn't really want in the first place.

Re: The Break Up
.....OF DICK!!!!
I think the ending was more true to life than your normal hollywood endings. I am still undecided about my opinion of it though."Besides pride, loyalty, discipline, heart, and mind, confidence is the key to all the locks." --Joe Paterno

Re: The Break Up
I heard about all the bad reviews before I saw the movie. I for one really liked it. The funny parts were hilarious (especially the aforementioned videogame scenes). There was also a good amount of drama in it too, which made it that much more realistic. A bunch of people hated the ending, but I, like several other of you guys, thought it was the right way to end it. It was realistic, sad, yet still optimistic. The ending reminded me a lot of Chasing Amy's ending. Also, I really got into Law & Order this year, and now I'm a big Vincent Dinofrio (spelling?) fan, so him having a role in the movie made me happy as well lol. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this movie.Comment
