    Re: Best Movie Soundtrack

The Crow is the clear winner in my book, no other movie has such an identifiable sound as that of the movie in how it relates to the scenes and the content.

A close second is Donnie Darko for the exact same reasons above although since it featured more songs not written specifically for the movie I think it's not quite as good.

                  Re: Best Movie Soundtrack

I think we should clarify "score" or "soundtrack." The score is the orchestral music while the soundtrack are the songs from the movie.

                  So my best/favorite scores:

                  Batman - Danny Elfman
                  Titanic - James Horner
                  Star Wars - John Williams
                  Ocean's Eleven - David Holmes

                  Best soundtracks:

                  Batman - Prince
                  Purple Rain - Prince
                  Top Gun
                  Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
                  Ocean's Eleven

                    Remember the Titans

I only say that because I watched it today in History and it's stuck in my head..

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Boogie Nights yet. A lot of cheese on both the disc releases, but one of the more listenable soundtracks from top to bottom.

gopadres said it best, we should of clarified "score" from "soundtrack. I'm pretty sure most of you guys dont have the cd from Remember the Titans or Gladiator and listen to it on a normal basis.

What I meant with the thread is the best cd soundtrack from a movie. There are official cds made for the score but they cant be the best in your mind if you dont actually listen to it.

Anyway, one other movie I totally forgot about. The Five Heartbeats. I dont own this soundtrack but I own the dvd and watched this a total of 7 million times.
