Maybe Hollywood will realize the need for these types of movies to have two versions released, at least for DVD. PG for the families/kids who want to be able to experience the essence of the movie and still maintain a good margin of innocence. And PG-13 for the older crowd who sees that a villian calling his hero enemy a b!tch as being more realistic. Why not; after all there are the original releases and "director's cut" versions.

PG-13 these days is not that bad. not quite family fodder but i'm sure there's still gonna be a lot of kids and early teens who'll see this flick.

When you have kids, and are concerned about what their minds get fed, it's quite a hassle, especially as they hit that 12, 13, 14 y.o. range...... believe me.

totally agree... maybe it's the fact that I'm just not a huge fan of Superman but I just can't get into this movie... sure I'll go to the theatre to watch it, but I'm not expecting much out of it.

I'm not a big comic book movie fan, or comic book fan period. I had little interest in this movie when the internet buzz was growing. But once I saw the TV spots for it, I really started to look forward to it.

Looks like it could be better than Spiderman.

That may be a stretch to say the least. Not in the sense that it's impossible to be better than Spiderman, but they are just two completely different kinds of heroes in two completely different settings. Their alter-egos are possibly the closest things that you can do to relate them at all. Yes, they are both superheroes... but the styles are just so different, they're nearly impossible to compare.

People that are fans of the original will probably love Superman Returns as it will be similar in tone and will be very epic like the original was. Go to www.bluetights.net and you will find all the information on Superman Returns that you need. The reason I like movies like Superman, Spiderman and X-Men is that they take elements from the comics and give it a realistic toneand feel. I don't like if it was a straight comic book movie because what you end up with is a movie like Batman and Robin which is truly pathetic.
