Oh hell yes. I think my mom still has the huge treasure chest of toys back at her house I had growing up. I had the entire collection of both M.A.S.K and Silverhawks.

I even had the Boulder Gas Station that was the M.A.S.K headquarters.

Our toys were the sh** back in the 80s...kids today don't even know.

Any good websites, books, etc to get caught up on Transformers before the movie comes out? I barely recognized Optimus Prime in the theater today.

There was a 4-issue movie prequel comic book by IDW Publishing. You can buy of all 4 issues in June:
                      http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-M...9717361&sr=8-2

Or you can kinda read it here on wiki:

                      Atlanta Braves
                      - Auburn Tigers - Nashville Predators

Thanks fellas for the info. Please help my 33 year old brain remember some stuff. Did the Go-Bots or the transformers come first? It seems to me like when I was in fifth grade there were go-bots, but I can't remember if they were out at the same time. Man I remember the Megatron toy. There's no way they'd sell that now as it looked and felt like a real gun (at least to me it did).

Transformers came first. They were started in Japan as an entirely different toyline called Diaclone in 1983. Hasbro saw the potential in it and took the concept and expanded it. Takara Toys and Hasbro worked together on the TF toyline and on the making of the original cartoon.

Go-Bots was a concept that came at basically the same time but was a few months behind Transformers. The toyline started off in Japan by the predecessor of Bandai. The toys were called Machine Robo. Tonka, seeing that Hasbro was importing the other transforming robot toys from Japan jumped at the opportunity to do the same. The TV show came about at virtually the same time as Transformers but TFs had caught the imagination of children and Go-Bots were looked upon as a cheap knock off.

Co-sign. My girl friend and I hit that demographic exactly(she's 28, i'm 30) and we BOTH can't wait to see this. First time we will go see a movie on the release date in a while.

I hated Go-Bots. And it was a cheap knock off.

Maybe it's me being pessimistic, but I think I will be disappointed by this movie. I'm used to MY Transformers. Not how they will look in this movie. I dunno...as long as it has Starscream...

                                This is classic Starscream...

I swear, Megs and Starscream is like Tony and Christopher on the Sopranos.
