 Re: Transformers the movie

If you want a good Transformer you have to pay about 100 bucks now. Though they have a line of them that are pretty much the definitive Transformers, but so far only the Optimus Prime has been released stateside. They'll likely have issues with Megatron since he transforms into a convincing looking handgun:

Gotta agree with the poor quality of the current Transformer toys....went with my 5 year old to TRus and wow...cheap plastic...cheap price...ended up getting the special edition OP for around $60...like the "old school" ones, die cast metal..can handle a 5 year olds playing with...he loves it.Comment

Come on now you know you bought it for yourself and not the kid. I did the same thing at TRus for my 5 year old. lol The die cast is just better made, I hate that plastic. I did the same thing at TRus for my 5 year old. lol The die cast is just better made, I hate that plastic.Comment

 Re: Transformers the movie

I've seen pictures of the Starscream one and he is awesome looking, but the Japanese version had a different color scheme. The American release is supposed to have his Gen 1 colors. I'm curious if Megatron will get a US release. They're so strict about toys these days, when the Prime one got released Hasbro insisted on replacing the chrome smokestacks with short plastic ones. Megatron will probably end up bright orange and purple.

The kid in me thinks these things are spectacular, my wallet needs a lot of convincing though.Comment

I just finished looking at some character screens:

And I must say that I'm absolutely disappointed on how the characters in robot form turned out. I just don't know why they couldn't resemble the G1 Transformers...even a little bit.Comment

Why not consult with the people who made the toys or the actual cartoon Comment

I concur, they look a bit to high tech when the originals were simple and you could tell what vehicle they were in robot form. Now, they make them to appear almost scary in a way.http://neverfollow.biz (Independent Music Group)Comment

 Re: Transformers the movie

the thing is guys these are robots from space...theres no way your going to have a robot looking like it came straight from Japan...i was a bit disappointed when the first pics got leaked out but the more i think about it how would you portray a sentient being coming from space let alone a robot one...they gotta have that alien look to them and i think they did a fantastic job portraying that

Just as long they have their personalities and voices (which we will have since Cullen and Welker will be providing the voices of the main characters) then its going to be bliss hearing Optimus and Megs in a live version of themselves.......Comment
