Saw this last night and I was very entertained. When I first heard Bay was directing, I was worried, but the movie was really well done. My only complaints were that the action was a little too frenzied at times and it was tough to tell the Transformers apart. I would've liked to have seen more intereaction between the Deceptacons. I also thought that they spent a little too much time on the computer geeks.


SPOILER ALERT

I'm sure Megatron will be resurrected in the sequel. Hopefully, the sequel will focus more on the inner workings of the Deceptacons.
Can't wait to see which Transformers show up in the sequel (hopefully not the Dinobots-they're annoying).

Saw it this past Monday... great flick.. cant wait for the DVD..

though, did like that they changed Barricade from a F-1 car (from the toy collection) to a sweet looking police car..

Just saw the movie yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. It was very realistic and Bay did a great job at setting up future installments of this movie. The human characters were great and developed nicely to go along with the story. Loved the fights and loved the action. Also loved how they didn't stray to far from how the orginal Autobots and Deceptocons interacted with eachother. For example, how the Autobots always seem to ride out together in some type of formation. How Ironhide was a bit of a rebel. How Megatron treated Starcream as soon as he came into the scene. Prime was the ish. For me it is the best movie ever. Felt like i waited my entire life to see this movie. Thats all I need now is GI Joe and I can die happy.


One other thing about the flick. It just felt right with the way they transformed. I didn't dig it before I watched the movie but seeing it in action seemed realistic how it was all potrayed. And those Deceptacons are pure evil. You didn't see many deaths but you can tell carnage was everywhere when they attacted. I loved it.

I saw this last night and all I can say is wow. It has been a long time since a movie made me feel like a kid again, thank you Steven Spielberg.

Isn't it great? I've seen it twice, both times I felt 8 years old again. Movie to me, had it all. I think it has a mass appeal, it's funny, and it's just really good. I can easily say it's in my top 5 movies of all time, sometimes, I just want to be entertained, and Transformers did that.

just hearing G1 Optimus Primes voice got me all giddy, unfortunately Megs was a bit of a dissapointment but i absolutely loved the movie

Isn't it great? I've seen it twice, both times I felt 8 years old again. Movie to me, had it all. I think it has a mass appeal, it's funny, and it's just really good. I can easily say it's in my top 5 movies of all time, sometimes, I just want to be entertained, and Transformers did that.

Please tell me this movie has cleaned up at the box office, I haven't seen the numbers. This could very well be the best summer movie ever in my opinion. It will be playing at the drive-in, I am hoping with something good. Of course now I owe my wife a trip to Hairspray, but the Transformers made it worth it.

Please tell me this movie has cleaned up at the box office, I haven't seen the numbers. This could very well be the best summer movie ever in my opinion. It will be playing at the drive-in, I am hoping with something good. Of course now I owe my wife a trip to Hairspray, but the Transformers made it worth it.

Yep, and all the actors are signed on for the 3 films.

Yeah, 153 million last week. Biggest opening for a non-sequel in history.

It sold less tickets than Spiderman though, right? I remember reading the only reason it made that much is due to increased ticket prices when you compare the two.

Yeah, the difference was like 1 million more people saw Spidey or something like that. But that could be used for any movie really. Tickets were a lot cheaper when Gone With The Wind was out

Spidey was a monster when it hit theaters though, that was the best experience I had until seeing Transformers.

Yeah... it always annoys me when they announce something like Ghost Rider making $60 million... Big whoop.

Easily agreed. I still remember the first time he yelled "Waaa-hoooo!" Man, that was great!
