Moving a TV...cable question
I'm thinking about moving my TV and have a question. My HD cable box is currently fed from one outlet in my living room, and when I move the TV, the current outlet will not be available (there's another outlet on the opposite wall). My question is, will that outlet work or does it have to be "activated" by the cable company, or will it work as long as I have the box?

Every jack in your house should be active, there's no way to turn it on per say. There's one line coming into your house/apartment and then spliced to all your outlets.Comment
