Re: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift

On my list of movies I would rather go see than this are as follows

          1. Nacho Libre
          2. Cars
          3. Anything else

They are just too "over-the-top" with these movies and are way too corny and fake.

Why? Is it hurting you that these movies are coming out?

That said, I think I may wait until some impressions, or just rent it. I won't dismiss the movie altogether, though.

Oh, and I had a thread that's almost a month old (and did begin to stray off-topic), but in-case we need to revert back to it:

Personally I think the Fast and Furious series needs to stop ASAP. Now if there was an updated Cannonball Run i'd be rushing to the theatres

I may see it because there's not really anything else playing that interests me.

I'll wait until it's on cable...not worth paying for, but it seems like a fun action movie to watch when nothing else is on

They should've stopped a long time ago....

I saw the first one and that was enough for me.

It hurts all of us. The producers see people going to these movies. They start making a lot of money from it... they make another, and another, and another, and another.

Meanwhile they neglect intelligent or original films that are brought to their attention. Instead of trying something new and moving on - they realize they can make more money by simply making The Fast and the Furious XII

I'm still not seeing your point.

If you don't want to see it, don't see it. Believe me... I thought that LOTR trilogy was not worth seeing two minutes of, let alone the Harry Potter novels even being worth reading more than two pages of. It's all about preference. Not saying that I prefer this movie, but it's a car movie with action being the underlying structure of it all. So, I'm sorry if this movie "offends" you in some way, but this is only the third installment of the series.

The only reason I believe they are going overboard is because the characters aren't the same anymore, let alone it being on the other side of the world.
