People should go see this movie alone...because if you drag someone along with you, they just might kill you before you get back home.

i didn't see it yet. it's getting pretty good reviews by consumers on yahoo. I guess the OS crowd would rather see Nacho Libre. Now that's some **** i won't pay to see at the theatre or on dvd.

Honestly, I bet if Bow Wow wasn't in this movie maybe more people wouldn't mind it. I can't stand that guy and I'm sure others feel the same way.

In all honestly i really hope someone makes a good movie about racing. Kinda like how the Dale Ernhardt story was told but in the import scene. Because racing is one of the best rushes you can get but if done safely in a controlled enviroment like a track.
If it's on a track, then is it street racing? Real racers do it on the track. Street racing is for the wannabe's and lamers, most of whom think they are much better drivers than they really are.

I won't see this movie strictly because it's lame.. I generally don't buy in to the movies/video games/music is responsible for people's actions. I think personal responsibility needs to kick in sometime, and people need to quit blaming everyone else for their stupidity.

However if any of my loved ones are killed or seriously injured because some punk was trying to race on the street, heaven help him.

It was good. I'm allowed to say that, and I just did.

Ya know how people will make fun of "Cheesy 80's movies"?

Well this whole series will be one of the ones that people just rip on in 15-20 years and look back and go, "What the hell were we thinking?".

It really bugs me that while the movie is set in Tokyo, all the characters (from the trailers/commercials) speak fluent English.

While not everybody in the movie does speak fluent English, there are a lot of people in Tokyo that do. Probably not as many students as this movie showed, but too many business people know both languages very well.

I didn't even know Bow Wow was in it. It just looks terrible, regardless of who's in it.

I finally saw this movie on DVD today and it wasn't that bad. I thought the beginning where they were racing in the house construction area was just insane. Talk about possibly getting killed in real life if you were out there doing that. I enjoyed the movie for what it was, another sequel to the Fast and Furious franchise. Tokyo Drift is nowhere near as good as Furious 2, but they did a good job setting the movie up. At first I was laughing at the main character having a cowboy accent. I also liked the Yakuza involvement and that added to the story.

I think that is Lucas Black's real accent, actually.

And yeah, the Yakuza thing was rather strange to say the least... but at least they found it to somehow fit in.

One thing that I liked about this movie was that anything that was CGI was covered up MUCH better than in the second one. Fortunately, not too much of it was CGI (until the end, though).

It was entertaining enough for me to get on DVD. I love the cars, soundtrack, and everything else in between.
