I've been into the OOTP series for a few years now, it's a lot of fun. Like Sully said, this year's version is very deep, but once you start to get the hang of it, it's got a lot to offer. I'd recommend trying it out.

Originally posted by VinceIt started with Title Bout Championship Boxing. Played the demo and I though it was cool. Then my friend lent me Championship Manager 4 and I've been having a blast so far. I've always liked the Baseball Mogul series, but now I'm really enjoying these text based games. I really love the financial and franchise aspect of sports games like Madden and NBA 2k, but these text based games are really on a whole new level. The strategy is amazing and you really have to put some effort into what you're doing.PSN: JISTIC_OS

Vince:
If you're into Championship Manager, then you must give Football Manager 2006 a try. It's also sold in the U.S. as Worldwide Soccer Manager 2006.
Takes all the good stuff from CM and improves it. GREAT game. Addictive as hell.
Take care,
