I would make sure that the hard drive has a FireWire connection instead of USB, or both if needed.

Hahah, I got that the end of June.

I still haven't used it yet.

I have three 300GB Seagate drives....all work great. I just saw Best Buy had the 750GB external Seagate on sale for $310 (I think it ends tomorrow). Might seem like more than you need but you can never have enough hard drive space!

My roommate and brother both got a 250G external HD off tigerdirect for $92 after shipping and handling at www.tigerdirect.com

Best Buy stuff, even on sale is way too expensive.

Just got this one this past week, 160 GB external for $89 on sale at Best Buy

It's $119 at tigerdirect, so it looks like its a pretty good deal. So far, so good. Hooked it up and the computer recognized it right away. No only if I had USB 2.0 :

$75 plus $8 shipping is not a pretty good deal for 250G as long as you don't mind filling out rebates. You pay the regular price of $125 up front though.
