It has nothing to do with not using it. The fact that it's there I still get spyware and popups.Comment

THIS ISN'T A MAC THREAD.Originally posted by TomahawkThank goodness I have a Max and use Safari to browse the net. No IE problems whatsoever!!!Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Yeah..Originally posted by PsyblastMaybe I'm wrong...but don't P2P applications carry the risk of viruses?

It's actually a lot safer to surf porn.

 Re: Permanently deleting Internet Explorer.

Honestly, I do NOT think you can delete IE totally off of your computer. That was the basis for the whole Microsoft Monopoly Antitrust suit in the late 90s-early 2000s. Microsoft made IE the basis for Windows back with either 98, Me, or 2000 to crush Netscape in the early browser wars. Embedding it with Windows made people think that little 'e' was "the Internet" and everything defaulted to IE.

Like someone mentioned earlier: notice how Windows Explorer looks eerily similar to Internet Explorer? It's because they're the same. Take IE off the computer, and Windows won't work.

Your best bet is to get something like Ad-Aware, or Spybot Search and Destroy.

Sadly, though...I've never used them. I'm also on a Mac. IE has soooooooo many holes that every virus targets it and uses it for exploits, even if you're using FireFox, Opera, etc.XBox Gamertag: djbeth77
