I only saw the last performance and to tell you the truth, I wasn't impressed at all. I really don't see any girls winning this but I bet one of them will get to the final show.

I found out,I think so anyway. Apprently they get to pick any song they want. Tonight if that's correct it's Switchfoot,Duran Duran and The Doors.

I would totally stick it to Dana, Patrice and Storm.

Also heard Chris Pierson's performance again on the radio this morning, and it seemed to sound a lot better the day after. I know everyone absolutely ripped him apart last night, Butch included, but he wasn't nearly as bad as I originally thought. I gotta add him to my list of Josh and Dana in who to root for, just because he is the local boy.

Oh, and Dana gets major props not only for being from Augusta, but because she lists a Butch track on her playlist on the main site.

Doesn't really matter how metal the band itself is, Butch is going to have a lot of stroke when it comes time for the band to actually hit the studio and record their album. That being said, I'm sure Gilby's guitar licks will be crazy, Jason's bass will be hard, and Tommy will be going nuts behind the kit... But the album, especially if Butch has his say in the actual writing of it, will still be hook heavy and catchy as all get out. That's just how Butch rolls. No matter who they pick, as long as they can carry a chorus in a well enough manner, the album is going to be sick.

And now I'm off to watch tonight's episode.

stupid song to pick when they were asking for a rock song, but I liked it better than The Doors guy. Hopefully they made their point about song selection though

I don't disagree with their selection to send Matt home. Anytime you are told to bring the rock and you choose freakin Duran Duran, you deserve the worst. Especially if you are trying to rework the song, something that Chris proved last night to have disasterous results. Sucks to be Matt, but he asked for it.

He wasn't a bad singer but picking 2 softer type songs in a row wasn't smart.

Have you checked out the site at CBS? I was amazed at the ages of the women.....only two under 30 and Storm is 37. They are still hot, but I was truely surprised at the ages.

I definitely agree that under any other circumstances, he had two strong performances. In fact, after last night, I probably would have ranked him in my top five -- even with him performing a ******* Coldplay song. He simply made two bad decisions tonight, I mean, did you see how Jason reacted when he said he was doing a Duran Duran song? He was as good as gone regardless of whether he knocked it out perfectly or not.

                          This show is pretty good.

First of all, there is a girl named Storm Large? LOL give me a break.

Lucas Rossi was pretty sick. I would pay to see him front SuperNova. Can't say I would say the same for anyone else on there so far. IMO, Magni wasn't as bad as everyone said. I thought he was one of the better ones.

The girl who sang Nirvana was terrible. Her voice throughout the start of the song sounded like crap. I know she was trying to sound cool, but it didn't work. Oh, and her mosh/ dancing style is embarrassing.

Tommy Lee is so corny. "Dude, can you say rockstar?". Umm....yeah whatever Tommy, stick to porn. \

My early favs are Lucas, Magni, the Latina chick and the Australian.

He was a better singer than the other guy. Hell, he had a better voice than a bunch of them. But so does Clay Aiken. Doesn't mean he has a better "rock" voice. You are playing with Guns N' Roses, Metallica, and Motley Crue...and you play Coldplay and Duran Duran? Yeah, no question you're gone.

Good to know I'm not the only one who felt that way. Everyone was going nuts over her, but I simply thought she was way too over the top.

It totally came off as an act. Like she was trying to hard to be a Rockstar where as Lucas looked like a natural.
