Have to admit you're right.
LOL, it would be kind of cool if Jack took over the presidency. We'd see a brand new 24 where Jack literally makes his own rules.
Of course, I'm kidding.
They've included way too many romantic subplots in this season and that has really dragged the show down along with the focus on politics and not enough on Jack. This show is best when it emulates an action movie, and this season can hardly be passed off as such.Comment

I just hate how they are developing the characters this season. Jack has become kinda annoying with his pursuit of Audrey, Chloe has become a blabbering idiot with Morris, Nadia was so timid and then gets the power and becomes a total hardass? It was totally not in her character to do it, and I guess you can see it from her cracking a bit, but it was just awkward.Vice President of the Devils' DenComment

I don't mind Jack skirt chasing after Audrey. His wife had her brains blown out at CTU and ever since then, he's tried to keep his distance with women. Audrey looks for him in China and get's tortured much worse than Jack did. Of course, he will chase after her, plus, bringing in Heller, creates another obstacle for Jack to get around.
In summer interviews, Kiefer stated that we were going to find out more about his character than ever before. I agree there hasn't been much Indy Jones to this season, hopefully there will be more bangs next season. Maybe day 6 or season 6 is a bridge to the upcoming seasons.Comment

You have to give the writers credit, though, for having 5 very good, entertaining seasons before one completely slacked off.

I agree, while this season has been absolutely horrific, imagine the difficulty of writing episodic contetn, nevermind it all being in one day's time.
The show has become very hard to swallow. I've always felt, "It's TV, those things can happen", but my goodness, some things are just silly.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

It's taken me awhile to figure out what the problem is, but last night's episode convinced me that there's just been way too much romance this season and too little action.
Seriously, let's go over the main characters here. I see the following main characters as having some kind of romantic subplot: Jack, Audrey, Graem's wife Marilyn, Chloe, Morris, Bill, Karen, Nadia, Milo, Sandra, Walid, Daniels, Lisa Miller x2, the family held hostage by Kumar, Charles Logan, Martha Logan, Aaron Pierce, hell even Jack's dad threatening to kill his grandson could be considered in that category. The main characters without a romantic subplot? Assad (who was in 7 episodes), Fayed, Mike Doyle (who's only in the day for the last half), Wayne Palmer (who's been out of action for close to half the season), and Tom Lennox.
That's incredible to think about. In past seasons, you basically had Jack and whatever chick he was with, Tony and Michelle, for the first 3 days Palmer versus his crazy wife which wasn't as much romance as it was comedy, and the awkard Chloe/Edgar thing for a season and a half.Comment

Best thing the show did this season was start phasing Milo out...Man he sucks.
Bottom line is there are a ton of better shows out there. Lost, Heroes, Sopranos, Entourage, and The Office all make the writing of 24 look weak, the show is getting tired. I never though I would say this but they need to change the location of the show and storyline either wise there is no point. I would have loved Jack being in China and having to escape with the help of Audrey with the help of others in the USA, at least it would have been something different.Comment

Haven't watched "Lost" and didn't give "Heroes" much of a chance, but I'm pretty much in agreement with you. I STOPPED watching this year after the episode in which the former prez's wife stabs the former prez. You can throw "The Shield". "The Wire" and even "Ugly Betty" in that list too-and that's off the top of my head.Comment
