Jon Cassar said last seasons cliffhanger will be solved on a 10 min prequel that will be included in the Season 5 DVD boxset.

I believe the producers want Jack to be hunted this season.
I think they're going to rehash Middle Eastern terrorists as the main villians.

- Elisha Cuthbert on Kimmel last week said she hasn't been contacted to appear next season. She's open to the idea though. She also mentioned she was suppose to kill Nina Myers before the script changed.
