Well, I love the premiere, but it's tough to back to one hour a week. On the bright side, we won't have any 4 or 5 week breaks like we did after Season 3 with Gael's releasing of the virus.

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
Simply put, I found out TOO MUCH regarding the ending of tonight's two hours that pretty much ruined and made it predictable what would happen. Not blaming anyone in particular, because I had read some stuff throughout this thread about the premiere even before last night.
I just need to avoid these things because, while it didn't necessarily affect my enjoyment of the show, I could have been even MORE floored by the occurances in the fourth episode.Comment

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
I definately avoid reading spoilers or seeing info on TV. Whenever my wife would be watching one of those entertainment shows like Extra and they would talk about 24 she would switch the channel since we didn't want to know ANYTHING ahead of time. Knowing ahead of time is like knowing what you are getting for Christmas - it just spoils it.
Last year, it was pretty blatant spoilers being posted by people, and then they claimed not to have read any spoilers, it annoyed many people in the thread last year, I got numerous complaint PM's about it.Comment

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
Well, just got done watching tonight's shows and reading through this thread...and I have to say that I don't think I'm going to be that big a part of this thread this season. Simply put, I found out TOO MUCH regarding the ending of tonight's two hours that pretty much ruined and made it predictable what would happen. Not blaming anyone in particular, because I had read some stuff throughout this thread about the premiere even before last night.

That said, WOW. I don't think I have ever been as disturbed and shocked by what happened.
Longhorn is right, this season is just disturbing because it's so real. Car bombs, suicide bombs, suitcase bombs, etc. These are all REAL possibilities, and to see them unfold in such a way on the show, it just scares the living hell out of me.
I can't think of any specific comments, because I tried avoiding the thread from the start of the premiere through the end tonight, for spoilers and whatever. Trying to comment on four hours worth of 24 is just really difficult.
Anyone else pissed that 1/6th of the season is done, already?!
Desipte that fact I still love the show. Someone asked the question about what other terrorist plot can 24 build on? How about they revisit assassinations again from season 1?I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Than the one who comes up like an angel and is nothing but a devil. - Malcolm XComment

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
Don't want to get off topic, but if suicide bombers came onto US soil, you would have a WWII or Revolutionary War response and terrorist would no longer pose a threat for a while.Comment

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
I don't think so. The military is too thin and that would require invading Europe and the Middle East. It just won't happen. Terrorism is prevalent in Europe and we in North America have just ignored that reality for quite some time. If it comes over here the rest of the World will just say welcome to reality. I think we would more likely see stronger measures taken within country rather than doing anything else.Comment

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
Sorry EG.
How many more suitcase bombs are there? I didn't hear what Bill said the translation meant at the end of the show. I thought when they talked about the possibility of the nuke they only said one nuke was feared missing from the old Soviet Union? I was under the impression they have 5 but I don't have a clue.Comment

Re: 24 Season 6 (NO SPOILERS)
Yes, there are 5, one has been set off. But to me, something is screwy with that. They went through this whole motion to break the one guy out of prision because he is the only one who knew how to set the bombs up, so how are they going to set off the other 4?? And they went through 4 hours of trouble to get that detonator...what about 4 more of those?Comment
