I'm not an Owen Wilson fan. That voice and the way he talks annoys me. I like Luke a lot better but the Super Ex-Girlfriend movie looks stupid. You, Me and Dupree looks like it could be funny.

I saw this movie right when it came out. Went with my girlfriend and one of my friends with his girlfriend. Nobody really liked it. I thought it was really bad, my girlfriend thought it was terrible. I gave it a 3/10 on imdb. Just really not very funny, about three laughs through the whole movie for me and it dragged on forever. Michael Douglas' character was poorly written but he seemed to walk through the whole thing, ready to cut his check and get out of there. The story was poor and just never gained any momentum. Oh well.

I'm getting tired of Owen Wilson. He basically plays the same goofball/slacker in every film. He's just not that funny.

The viewers are suppose to feel sorry for Dupree but I wish he was left out in the rain.

The only funny person in this movie is Seth Rogan.

Anybody looking for a few laughs should avoid this film..

Well, like I said earlier in this thread, name an actor -- especially a comedic actor -- who the same can't be said of. The majority of Hollywood these days gets by on simply playing a slightly tweaked version of themself for every movie. It's one of the main reasons that there are so few new and original ideas out there now.

I understand what you're saying. But for me, it's only really noticeable when you can't stand a certain actor.
For me, it's Robin Williams. It seems like I'm in a great minority here but I LOATHE the man. I have never laughed at anything he's ever done.
For me, there's nothing funny about saying your grocery list out loud using a Scottish accent.
At times I think I'm the only person on the planet that didn't get the memo that read the whole planet should think everything he says is funny.

You want me to name an actor? Sure how about Jim Carrey.

Just look at his movies the past couple of years: Fun with Dick and Jane/Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind/Bruce Almighty/Me Myself and Irene/Man on the Moon etc....

His movies are funny yet he doesn't play the same character every film.

You can add Will Ferrell to the list once Stranger Than Fiction comes out.
