Seeing this one opening night. If I do (and see Saw III opening night), then that will be four movie openings in four weekends.

                        Re: The Prestige

just got back... I'm a fan. Quite the interesting premise with a fair number of twist and turns thrown in. With that being said, while I loved the premise the execution of the premise was slightly off.

Bale, Jackman and Caine all turn in great performances. It's just there is something missing about the movie and I can't put my finger on it...

Also can anyone tell me if that is the way they still do the bird trick? I would certainly hope not.

Very very good movie, but it's not great.

                        4 out of 5.

                          Re: The Prestige

Great movie. I must say, not exactly what I was expecting, but very close to it. Without spoiling anything, I must say that it was only very difficult for me to follow the order of sequences (and character names), but once I caught on, things ran rather smoothly. Like Superstar said, a nice set of twists and turns. No, this movie does not make people want to try and do real magic... so if that's what you're looking for, this isn't that kind of movie.

Well I just got back from this one, late show and I've got to say, it was really good. I didn't know much about the movie going in and left impressed. Like the others mentioned, twists and turns throughout and it was kinda difficult to follow in the beginning but after a little while, it flowed pretty good.

One of the few films I recommend.
