This show was definitely the weakest since the show has been back on but I still don't think it was horrible. Hopefully they pick it back up next week.

pretty much agree with what everyone is saying. such a contrast with this slow moving non eventful episode with the last 2 great ones. to me it was sort of just a filler episode to transition everyone going back to the main island

A giant, steaming pile of dog crap of an episode last night. Not even worth delving into it any deeper than that. This might be worse than the Charlie episode with his visions and piano nonsense.

The thing about Jack's tattoos is that they have to have a more global meaning because those five guys on the beach beat the piss out of him for getting that tat. They obviously know what it meant and had to have been offended by it, so I don't think it's something directly related to the Others or the Dharma, etc.

I agree with many on their feelings with this episode. A downer.

Funny, I found myself doing this yesterday .........

When the witch leaned forward towards Jack and asked him, Did Juliette ask you to kill Ben? I leaned forward from where I was sitting and mouthed "Tell me who the **** are you and why the **** am I here?!

Instead Jack says "Take me back to my cage"

Hahaha. Absolutely. The writing in this show is becoming borderline absurd.
When Jack was asked to save Ben's life all he had to do was say "Tell me everything I want to know, or he dies". But he doesn't. And I understand the reasons why but surely the writers can be smarter of how to avoid that or even confront it. They could have easily written that in and simply had Ben say "I'm not going to tell you anything but I will let your friends go". At least we will feel like someone on the Island acted like a real human being for once in this series.

Another thing that really annoyed me is when that "Other" told Jack he'd get him some rocks for his stone house. What a joke! The Losties never did anything to them. It was the Others that started all the drama between the sides by kidnapping pregnant women, children and killing or trying to kill several of them. That's all Jack had to say in return. But of course, nobody acts like a real person in this show.

I'm actually getting very tired of Lost. They haven't really revealed squat in 2 years and they still feel like they can take these 2 month leaves-of-absence in the middle of the year. And when they do you expect them to come back and actually give you something. There was more substance in Threes Company Episodes than what I've seen this season.
And if I have to watch one more episode showing how Jack has to save everyone or solve every problem I'm going to throw my shoe through the TV. WE GET IT! JACK HAS A SAVIOUR COMPLEX! We got that after the first 14 shows about him in season 1!!!! And I couldn't give two craps and a monkey piss about his tatooes. Who cares????

No wonder ABC moved this show to 10:00. It was getting destroyed in the ratings and not even by American Idol. I think CBS had a show that was beating it too. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe it's because every show seems like it was written by a pot-smoking college crackhead who has no idea what he's going to write from week to week.

Start getting your crap together guys. It's time to <gasp> answer some questions or at least give us some sense that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Wasn't the best episode...but I really didn't hate it as much as everyone else.

Granted...Jack's tattoo's being the big mystery solved was a big let-down, but still. Of course...it answered what they said, but not what they mean to Jack...so that'd be 1 question answered, 1 question raised - like always.

I wouldn't give the writers that much credit. They admitted at a recent TV convention that they are just trying to fill episodes to make 100 shows. I wouldn't even blink twice if I was told they were doing a whole show on Jack's tatoo that had nothing to do with the plot.

In the two and a half seasons there has not been a moment I regret watching the show, because even though it can get frustrating, it's still damn entertaining.

I thought it was a decent episode.

My guess on the 3 questions....
1- Jack's tattoo
2- where the kid's went, when Jack was yelling at Cindy, they showed a kid holding a beat up bear, which is what we saw in season 1 when a kid was walking, we all thought it was Walt.
3- The Other's work on that island, but live on the island where the losties are.

We knew they lived on that island, though. Start of this season we saw their community, the plane blew up over their head and landed on their island.

I think the other was that the others had a "Sheriff" and a punishment system.

I agree with you 100%. This show has been and always will be one of my top three favorite shows of all time. I just love how everything ties together in this show in some fasion; the writing is fantastic.

I've been a huge fan since the first episode was released, seen every epi to date, but I kinda agree with you Pared, they are stringing too much S too slowly along. As for the Walt and pop question, I hear later this season they will adress them.

Heroes has surpased this show on my favorite "to watch list" I must admit, but I still do have a spot for Lost in me. Me the wife and the kids still watch it religiously, hehe, but we get more pumped up for Heroes epi's nowadays.

Maybe in a few epi's things will get crazy and Lost will return to number one for us. you never know.
