LOL, I bet by episode 8 the bad people coming to the island will just be arriving... thus accomplishing nothing for the season.

Yeah, I can definitely live without this show now. Wating what seems like a year for 8 episodes. That's Bush league.

Not only does this suck for this year, but I think it could really spell long term disaster for the show from a viewership standpoint. People are already falling off the bandwagon because the show is dragging, not coming back until February, and not answering questions. Now they're going to give us a half season of exposition, with no payoff, and expect their audience to survive for a whole other year?

Yeah, good luck with that. I love the show, I'm totally on board with it and I'll watch it whenever it comes back until it ends, but even I recognize that they're playing with fire here when it comes to the show's survival.

I don't think season three dragged at all, but this is definitely awful news. A 10-month wait for a 8 eps?

What exactly would you propose they do? They're stuck b/w a rock and a hard place... ABC has paid money for the show this season and they would need to recoup some of the money spent. Abandoning until next season it's a tough call to make. I think it would piss people off even MORE.

I thought the last half of season 3 (after the break) was amazing and didn't drag at all. I guess that's just me though...

I honestly don't think they care...The longer we have between episodes, the less we care about all the inconsistencies on the show. The show has lost any continuity it once had. The show will eventually be abandoned at its current rate with alot questions left unanswered. In fact, I think it was their plan to leave alot unanswered anyways. I know some of you have faith that everything will be revealed, but I assure you, this is not the case. Now, with this, Lost just became even more frustrating.

But they were able to drag the show along and make gross inconsistencies in the story line(which they won't ever revisit), and that seems unfair.
