Do you turn your CPU off at night?

    Interested to see the responses.

I always left my desktop on, I just upgraded to a better laptop and am all paranoid about leaving it on overnight (except tonight as I'm downloading tons to get caught up).

I always turn it off. Now sometimes when I go out for like a couple hours or so i'll leave it on but that's a "once in a while" type of situation.

Mine's on pretty much 24/7. The sweet gurgling sound of the water cooling system comforts me.

Re: Do you turn your CPU off at night?

I turn mine off when I sleep because I hate all the lights that it has when its on. Even when its off I still throw something over the back of it to stop the lights from inside coming through the vents in the back. But I turn it on in the morning and leave it on until I go to bed.

Re: Do you turn your CPU off at night?

                      some of the time.

i sometimes have direct connect open receiving or sending files with friends through AOL.

most of the time its off. especially right now in the summer time. it makes my room extremely hot and humid. winter time, it stays on alot.

any one use sleep mode? MY mouse is too sensitive plus, it would blink a blue night every second, so the standard choice is, hot room and on for convience, or off and waiting 3 minutes for pc to load

Mine's usually on 24/7, but I do turn it off when thunderstorms come through just to make sure it doesn't get fried.

Rarely, RARELY do I turn it off. I'm usually copping too many NBHR.

I always turn it off because sometimes if I leave it on just all day without me doing anything on it it starts to slow down.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)
